Let’s look at some of the bizarre laws on the books! The disturbing part about some of these is that enough people had to do them in order for their to be a need for such laws.
1. It is illegal for a driver to be blindfolded while operating a motor vehicle.

2. It is illegal to intentionally maim oneself to escape duty.
Section 13A-14-1.
3. In a divorce, women are able to retain all property they owned prior to marriage. This provision does not apply to men.
Section 30-4-1.
4. It is illegal to dance near hospitals, sanitariums, or infirmaries within the city limits of Mobile, Alabama.
Section 39-99
5. It is illegal to possess confetti within the city limits of Mobile, Alabama.
